Sirona, the “Star Goddess” was a mythological Celtic goddess worshipped as a healing deity and was associated with healing and fertility. The Triskele or “triple spiral” has been used since ancient times in Celtic culture to symbolize the cycle of life, death and rebirth. The three spheres (Land, Sea and Sky) also represent the three aspects of the material world that are contained in every object. When looking at the symbol it is clear to see that spirals move inward therefore also being cited that each spiral within the Triskele symbolizes strength, honor & fortitude. |
